  • JOB TYPE: Freelance, Contract Position (no agencies/C2C - see notes below)

  • HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $35 – $55/hr
  • ESTIMATED DURATION: 40h/week - Long-term

THE OPPORTUNITY

Requirements

About you:

  • Production level development experience building frontend applications and packages using React.

  • Experience with NodeJS
  • Demonstrated skill in working with HTML, Javascript, or Typescript.

  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders such as product managers, designers, and QA engineers

  • Education in Computer Science, Engineering, or training in a related field

  • Comfortable with using tools like Slack, GitHub and Atlassian/Confluence

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have

  • Vue experience
  • Python experience
  • Enterprise SaaS experience

The application engineers are responsible for building and scaling the experiences powered by their Frontend stack built on top of React framework. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of breaking down product requirements into beautiful and simple experiences for customers.

How your work will support the growth:

  • Build applications experience that drives simple and intuitive experiences

  • Partner with product managers and designers in evaluating the user experience and its implementation possibilities

  • Partner with other engineers to define the technical roadmap for the team

  • Scope, develop, test, and support engineering needs of their product initiatives

  • Advocate for better software development tools, and practices to help build a transparent engineering culture

  • Participate in scrum activities to plan, develop and release working software

  • Mentor other engineers, helping them pick up strong software engineering practices
