Sr Strategist, UX [Remote]

What youโ€™ll be working on

Our client is looking for a Sr Strategist, UX to conduct user-centered research, design user-centered experiences, and collaborate on user experience (UX) strategy.

Key Responsibilities

โ€ข Experiment with new interactive design patterns tackling complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs for first-time customers to sophisticated experts. Build high fidelity, interactive and refined prototypes, using interactive tools and animation. The expertise of WCAG accessibility standards.
โ€ข Mentor other team members on prototype skills such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, InVision, HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
โ€ข Provide expertise and direction on prototype skills and tools. Lead effective discussions around wireframes that provide clarity for the experience. Lead efforts to help the team become more productive and effective.
โ€ข Provide constructive feedback and ideas to team when reviewing visual/graphic
design elements.
โ€ข Mentor other UX designers on best research methodology. Facilitate research
effort at any stage of the design cycle including, secondary, primary, generative,
conceptual and usability research.
โ€ข Develop and communicate UX/UI project plans and status updates.
Communicate research insights and complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively, across different audiences and varying levels. Navigate crucial conversations with stakeholders to establish trust, credibility, and common goals.
โ€ข Ability to collaborate across business units to build cohesion and consistency across brand experiences.
โ€ข Make others better through peer design review, thorough documentation, research and design guidance, mentoring or serving as a role model for your team. Responsible for staff recruitment, performance assessment, training and career development.
โ€ข Provide advice based on customer insights and weigh in on experience decisions that impact other teams or the company at large. Research, influence and propose new design ideas. Consistently demonstrate the ability to influence up.

Key Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in graphic design, human computer interaction, management information systems, design-related field and 6+ years of work experience or equivalent experience.

  • A designerโ€™s mindset, includes empathy, compassion, and curiosity. The desire to strive for the highest quality experience, through design critiques and collaboration.

  • Advanced planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.

  • Strong leadership and presentation skills.

  • The ability to obtain certification(s) in a CUA or HCI related field is a plus.

  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD.

  • Proficiency with web and mobile prototyping tools, such as Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Axure, or

    related software.

  • Experience with user research tools helpful, such as Validately, UserZoom,, etc.

  • Knowledge of web analytics (ie: Google Analytics 360, Adobe Analytics, etc.) and/or behavioral analytics (ie: HotJar, SessionCam, MouseFlow, etc.) tools

  • Experience with user tools is helpful.

  • Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products is preferred.

  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Some travel may be required, including overnight stays.

  • Must have the desire and ability to learn new technology and continuously grow.

  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with a variety of departments.
